Yes. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience (including job training) in a 4-star or 5-star hospitality environment is mandatory, as cruise lines require candidates with strong hospitality fundamentals and service standards.
CISC courses are designed for hospitality professional who already have some experience and want to learn cruise line specific skills and knowledge.
We are happy to assist you throughout your job search process. CISC training is designed to prepare you so that you have a higher chance of getting placed with a cruise line. However, we do not guarantee placement, and enrollment in training is not a prerequisit for placement.
Yes, fluency in spoken and written English is essential for all CISC programs.
Yes, all courses include safety, security, USPH/HACCP, and environmental training.
Yes, candidates are trained on cruise culture, discipline, and professional expectations onboard.
We will provide you a list of nearby, affordable accommodation options. Accommodation is not included in the course fee.
During the training, we provide lunch as well as cookies and a soft drink during the mid morning break.
Course/Training
Indian candidates who meet the following criteria can apply:
- Age between 21 to 25 years
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel
- Background in Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service, or related departments
The basics courses are two weeks, full time, and the advanced courses are three weeks, full time.
CISC training covers both theory and practical skills and knowledge that are specific to cruise line jobs.
Training is delivered by faculty who each have over 15 years of onboard cruise line experience and have worked at senior management levels. They also have extensive recruiting and training backgrounds. For more information about our trainers, click here.
The training is conducted in our institute, which is located in Margaon, Goa.
All CISC courses are conducted in Goa with classroom learning and hands-on practical training at the institute.
CISC offers Food & Beverage Basics, Housekeeping Basics, Culinary Basics, Advanced Culinary and Retail programs.
